visual inspiration and
stimulation.
i love the early work...
the small more personal
projects.
this blog is dedicated to work
from friends, smaller artists
with big ideas, and artists'
work outside their known
collective body. a side of them
that I particularly love.

Wow!! You know… It’s rare to see art like this these days. We’ve been on such an abstract path for so long in modern art that accolades rarely go to the person with skill. I feel like that era is about to end and we’re headed into an new age of innocence that will carry with it an appreciation for those who have mastered their craft.
Alas Jeff, this work is from the 19th Century and was painted around the same time as the Impressionists (which helps explain why people thought Impressionism was such a radical departure). I agree that the work is lovely and shows an amazing degree of detail which is indeed rare to see in current art trends. I saw the top painting (“Spring”) at the Getty Museum and it is stunning.
